The Cleveland County Business & Industry Council and Moore Norman Technology Center have partnered to create innovative and convenient webinar meetings over the Internet. The kick-off webinar is "Cleveland County Business and Industry Council - Legislative Forum" from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 13.
This webinar will feature a panel of local legislators with the possibility of U.S. Congressman Tom Cole linking in from Washington, D.C. Topics are discussed in real-time and are relative to local and state business issues.
Members of the South Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore and Noble Chambers may link up to the webinar by visiting: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/466613250
After registering, participants will receive an email with information about joining the Webinar.
Webinar facilitator and MNTC Business & Industry Services Coordinator Mike Charboneau said this new delivery format should make it easier for business professionals to attend meetings. The meeting and webinar topics cover best business practices, and will be broadcast from MNTC's South Penn Campus. Future meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month and offered in the same webinar format.
"The meeting topics are always great. We were thinking of ways to make it available to Chamber members in a quick and easy way that also helped them avoid driving time and allow them to stay at their work site, if needed," Charboneau said.
Webinar attendees will experience the meeting in real-time, and will view the speakers or presentations right to their computer desktops, all at once. They also have the ability to ask questions of the panel through instant messaging to the facilitator.
There are some computer system requirements to join the webinars:
PC attendee requirements:
Windows 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, 2003 Server, Vista
Macintosh attendee requirements:
