Physical Therapy Aide (High School Only)

This career major prepares students to help make physical therapy sessions productive, under the direct supervision of a physical therapist or assistant. They learn how to keep the treatment area clean and organized, secure patients to therapy equipment , assist with therapeutic exercises, treat patients using heat and cold modalities and transport patient to select areas of the facility. Other duties that may be performed are clerical tasks such as answering phones, scheduling patients and stocking and ordering supplies.
