Desktop Support Technician (Linux)

This career major prepares students to repair, service and troubleshoot personal computers and computer-related equipment and to install and configure operating systems and application software.  Students also learn the basics of networking, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware peripherals and protocols, as well as network administration duties and providing support for network users.  Students gain the technical skills required for CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Linux+ certifications.

Desktop Support Technician (Windows)

This career major prepares students to repair, service and troubleshoot personal computers and computer-related equipment.  Students learn to install and configure operating systems and application software, including networking basics, like: installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware peripherals and protocols. Students gain knowledge and the technical skills required for CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Information Technology Professional (MCITP) certifications.

Network PC Support Specialist

This career major prepares students to repair, service and troubleshoot personal computers and computer-related equipment. Students also learn to install and configure operating systems and application software, and, configure and support an organization’s local area network (LAN).  Students in this major gain the technical skills required for CompTIA A+ and Network+ industry certifications.

PC Support Technician

This career major prepares students to repair, service and troubleshoot personal computers and computer-related equipment. Students also learn to install and configure operating systems and application software.  Students in this major gain the technical skills required for CompTIA A+ industry certification.

Server Administrator

Students in this career major learn to plan, install, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade network hardware peripherals and protocols and to keep a company’s network running efficiently. Students learn to install, configure, maintain and manage a server environment, perform desktop maintenance and provide support for users with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. Students in this career major gain the technical skills required for CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Information Technology Professional (MCITP) certifications.

Server Administrator (Multiple Operating Systems)

Students in this career major learn to plan, install, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade network hardware peripherals and protocols and to keep a company’s network running efficiently. Students learn to install, configure, maintain and manage a server environment, perform desktop maintenance and provide support for users with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
