Automated Systems Technician

This career major is the highest level of training offered within the Electrical Career Field and builds upon all career majors with additional training in automated industrial systems. Students will cover concepts and the necessary hands-on training to work in various technology-based facilities that use Programmable Logic Controllers, Robotics, and Motors.

Electrical Apprentice

This career major builds upon the Residential Electrical Assistant career major in the areas of commercial and industrial environments. Students will cover electrical installation, operation, and maintenance for electrical systems in residential dwellings, commercial buildings, in industrial buildings and automated. Students learn safety, tools, print reading, electrical principles and measurements, function of components, equipment and motors, wiring, process control, troubleshooting, and the National Electrical Code. After completion, students can continue their training toward their journeyman licensure.

Residential Electricians Assistant

This career major is a foundational study in the design, equipment selection and the methods used to install electrical systems in residential buildings. Comprehensive training and classroom theory in the areas of physics and electrical concepts and hands-on learning in tools, equipment, electrical safety, blueprint reading and specifications, series circuits, parallel circuits and the basics of residential electrical are provided to the student. They will install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems, including climate control, security and communications.
