This career major teaches students the roles and responsibilities of a dental laboratory technician, which includes, safety, infection control, legal and ethical standards and preventative dentistry. Students learn dental terminology, tooth morphology, and oral anatomy. They will also have the opportunity to become certified in three Productivity Training Corporation (PTC) areas, while also participating in an internship as part of this career major.

PTC Certified Dental Lab Technician

This career major teaches students the roles and responsibilities of a dental laboratory technician, which includes, safety, infection control, legal and ethical standards and preventative dentistry. Students learn dental terminology, tooth morphology, how to set denture teeth, fabrication of denture set ups and oral anatomy. They will also have the opportunity to become certified in four Productivity Training Corporation (PTC) areas, while also participating in an internship as part of this career major.

PTC Certified Industry Professional

This career major is for students with an existing dental background; students who are Pre-Dental at a college or university; or students who are working to get accepted into a Dental Program. These students will learn dental terminology, tooth morphology, and oral anatomy. They will also have the opportunity to become certified in four Productivity Training Corporation (PTC) areas.
