Choose from these Career Majors: 

Cosmetologist

This career major prepares adult students for the Cosmetology field of personal hair care as mandated by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology Licensing. The major will prepare adult students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in Hair Care, Color, Cut, Salon Management, Sanitation, and Salesmanship.  Toward the end of the major, students will work one-on-one with instructional staff to prepare to take the Cosmetologist Licensing Exam.

Cosmetologist (High School Only)

This career major prepares high school students for careers in Cosmetology.  Similar to the 1500 career major, this career major introduces and prepares students for the field of personal hair care as mandated by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology Licensing. The major will prepare high school students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in Hair Care, Color, Cut, Salon Management, Sanitation, and Salesmanship.  Toward the end of the major, students will work one-on-one with instructional staff to prepare to take the Cosmetologist Licensing Exam.

Esthetician

This career major prepares students to become professional skin care consultants as mandated by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology. Students learn techniques proven to provide skin and beauty care for clients, thereby, improving their appearance.  Students also learn to cleanse and beautify skin with facials, give full-body treatments and head and neck massages, as well as hair wax removal. Students will work one-on-one with instructional staff to prepare to take the Cosmetologist Licensing Exam.

Nail Technician

This career major prepares students to become professional nail technicians as mandated by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology.  Students train as manicurists or pedicurists, nail technicians, along with, working exclusively on nails and providing manicures, pedicures, coloring, and nail extensions to clients.  Toward the end of the major, students will work one-on-one with instructional staff to prepare to take the Cosmetologist Licensing Exam.

Practicing Master Instructor

This career major prepares students to become an instructor of cosmetology as mandated by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology.  Students will work with an instructor and then guided to design, develop, assist, and teach cosmetology courses to future students. Students will work one-on-one with instructional staff to prepare to take the Cosmetologist Licensing Exam.

Master Instructor
