What is MNTC?

Established in 1972, Moore Norman Technology Center has gained a reputation for excellence, and is viewed as one of the nation's premiere educational and training institutions. MNTC is one of 29 career and technical education options within Oklahoma's globally-recognized CareerTech System, and our district encompasses the communities of Norman, Moore and south Oklahoma City. We provide high school and adult students a quality and affordable career and technical education. Additionally, we also provide professional assistance to businesses in order to help them achieve their business goals.

MNTC has earned the Oklahoma Association of Technology Center’s Gold Star School Award eight times, most recently during the 2012-2013 school year. This annual application-based award recognizes technology center districts that have met rigid and demanding criteria demonstrating a high level of excellence. This voluntary program provides recognition to districts with exemplary programs designed to meet a broad spectrum of community needs.

As an educational institution, we offer educational opportunities for:

  1. High school students
  2. College-bound students
  3. Career changing adults
  4. Career advancing professionals

Oklahoma’s network of technology centers provides an option for career and technical education that is both industry and community-focused. It is the responsibility of technology centers to use taxpayer funds to educate, train, and develop a strong workforce that enhances economic development in our state, and we are obligated to improve the quality of life for all Oklahomans. MNTC offers clients and students classroom and lab space, and exposure to the same high-end equipment and tools used in industry right now.
